Namo Buddha

Namo Buddha or Takmo Lüjin is an important Buddhist pilgrimage site of Nepal, and one of the three main stupas of kathmanfu valley. Situated about 40 km to the south east of Kathmandu city, the stupa built on the bones and hair of prince Mahasattva, stands on the slopes of the Gandha Malla hill.
According to the jatakas and several sutras, Mahasattva was one of Buddha shkaymun's former incarnations. He was the youngest of the three sons of king Maharatha. One day as the three brothers were walking through the forest, they saw a tigress with the five cubs she had given birth to. She was so hungry she could hardly move. The three princes went away, but Mahasattva decided to go back and started to cut his flesh to give it to the tigress to eat. When his brothers went to look for him they found only his bones and hair. The stupa was built on top of these remains.

Walking up the hill from the stupa, one can reach a place where the scene of the Buddha giving his body to the tigress is engraved in stone. According to the oral tradition, this is the actual place where the Buddha gave his body.
Following the ridge to a second summit on the same hill, there is also a small stupa which is said to mark the den of the tigress. There, pilgrims lie down on the ground as if giving their bodies, and hair and pieces of cloth are hung to the branches of the tree for protection.

The Tibetan name Takmo Lujin derives from the events that took place on the site . Local people call it Namo Buddha . Because the region was infested with tigers, the local people wouldn't call it by its actual name, which contains the word 'tiger', and so, as a way to protect themselves, they got into the habit of calling it “Namo Buddha.”
On the eastern side of the hill is the monastic complex built by Khenchen Thrangu Rinpohe—Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery.

Kathak Dance

Kathak  is one of the eight forms of Indian classical dances, originated from Uttar prades India. This dance form traces its origins to the nomadic bards of ancient northern India, known as Kathaks, or storytellers. Its form today contains traces of temple and ritual dances, and the influence of the bhakti movement. From the 16th century onwards it absorbed certain features of Persian and Central Asian dance which were imported by the royal courts of theMughal era.
The name Kathak is derived from the Sanskrit word katha meaning story, and katthaka in Sanskrit means he who tells a story, or to do with stories. The name of the form is properly  katthak, with the geminated dental to show a derived form, but this has since simplified to modern-day कथक kathakkathaa kahe so kathakis a saying many teachers pass on to their pupils, which is generally translated, 's/he who tells a story, is a kathak', but which can also be translated, 'that which tells a story, that is 'Kathak.'
There are three major schools or gharanas of Kathak from which performers today generally draw their lineage: the gharanas of Benares (born in the courts of the Kachwaha Rajput kings, the Nawab of Oudh, and Varanasi respectively), Jaipur and Lucknow ; there is also a less prominent (and later) Raigarh gharana which amalgamated technique from all three preceding gharanas but became famous for its own distinctive compositions.

Save Wildlife

The exotic that Nepal is known for is coming infer threat of traders dealing in body parts of endangered wildlife. It is found that the valuable wildlife is vanishing as ruthless poachers are able to carry on with their activities despite warning from the authorities that action would be taken against them . Since the body parts of wild animals fetch handsome amounts the poaching o such animals and trading of their body parts is continuing unabated.it is high time that extra vigilance was exercised by the concerned authorities to foil the evil design of such poachers and traders. At present although there are provisions to punish the offender it apparently i snot enough and doe snot serve to deter them.wildlife is our pride and heritage. It is our duty to conserve. In the endeavor of protecting and conserving the wildlife it would help in a large measure by raising awareness amongst the people.

Things that you can do with your family to save wildlife
1 Wildlife is also adversely affected by the threat of non-native invasive species. You can reduce invasive species by not releasing captive animals into the wild, pulling invasive plants in your yard, and by not buying or planting non-native plants.

By minimizing and more wisely using herbicides and pesticides we can better control the amount of harmful chemicals and toxins released into environmentally sensitive areas, such as streams and rivers. Most of these chemicals take many years to degrade in nature

3 Recycling and reducing energy can lessen the impact that is felt on the environment. Reducing resources helps the environment, native local wildlife, and saves money in the process.

Getting involved and helping local governments and agencies with funding, donations, land adoptions  and even volunteer work helps in unimaginable ways.

5. Finally, remember to share your own passion about the environment and protecting wildlife with friends, family, and neighbors.

Spiny orb weavers

Spiny orb weavers are the spiders with the prominent spines on their abdomen.Their shell is shaped like a crab shell with spikes. So,these spider species is also known as crab-like orb waevers.Although these are not as large as other orb weavers, their combined color, shape and distinctive web makes them a very recognisable spider.spiny orb weavers are one of the many beneficial spiders, since they prey upon small pests that are present in crops and suburban areas. Their bites are generally harmless to humans and can be a nuisance when they build large webs in place inconvenient for human beings.Despite their formidable appearance, these spiders are not considered dangerous.spiny orb weavers have a broad abdomen that can be white ,orange,or yellow with red marking.A new web is constructed each night to make sure that the structure is secure.typically adult females construct nest from a single thread close by the nest of female. females produce an egg sac with 100 to 260 eggs while facing down near the web.females are 5 to 9 mm long and 10 to 13 mm wide.males are much smaller than females, 2 to 3 mm long and slightly longer than wide.Spiny orbs do not live very long. their lifespan only lasts until reproduction.
